- Handling of equipments.
- Basic calculations of molecular biology.
- Media preparation and autoclaving.
- Growth and maintenance of bacteria carrying recombinant plasmid.
- Plasmid DNA isolation and treating it with RNase-A to get rid of RNA content.
- Restriction Digestion and analysis.
- Gel elution of both vector and insert DNA saparately.
- Ligation reaction.
- Competent cell preprtion and transformation.
- Competent cell efficiency testion using known quantity of DNA.
- Screening of trsanformation through α-complementation test.

COURSE 2
GENETIC ENGINEERING
In addition to all the contents of COURSE-I, this will have the following aspects :
- Screening of transformants by restriction analysis.
- Transferring the gene constructs in binary vectors to Agrobacterium through triparental mating (TPM)
- Transferring of gene to plant system through Agrobacterium mediated plant transformation
- Leaf disc preparation
- Co-cultivation
- Selection media transfer
- Analysis of transgenic plants through PCR for confirming the presence of gene
- Plant Genomic DNA extraction
- Polymerase Chain Reaction

PLANT TISSUE CULTURE
- Plant tissue culture media preparation and autoclaving

IMMUNOLOGICAL STUDIES
- Extraction of total Proteins from different sources.

- Whether it is research project or training project, We will guide you but you have to handle everything to get ‘hands on’ experience
